We operate to the highest standard of integrity and transparency. We are ethical in all our dealing with clients, key stakeholders, suppliers, employees and third party providers.
Our board of directors are responsible for the oversight and strategic direction of My Project.
The board meets on a regular basis (minimum 6 times per year) to review our policies, finances, updated reports on progress with the services we offer to our clients and to discuss the strategic direction for the project.
They are volunteers who receive no remuneration for their involvement with the project. They have a wide range of skills and experience from the world of business, volunteering and Charity work.
Board of Directors
Karen Gallagher works in Aviva and is responsible for their Individual Protection Products. She has worked in the Financial Services industry for over 30 years. She holds a Masters in Human Resource Management and has worked across various areas including HR, Operations Management and Business Development. She is from the local area having grown up in Dun Laoghaire. She has two grown up children and as a Mum has a heartfelt interest in young people and helping them get the most out of their lives.
Allen Kiernan is CFO of BBDO Dublin, one of Ireland advertising agencies, where he has been working for over 25 years.
Allen also sits on the board of a number of other group companies where his ancillary roles encompass governance, IT and HR.
Allen is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and is also Honorary Treasurer of The Advertising Benevolent Society of Ireland (TABS), which looks to provide support to those within the wider advertising community who are experiencing difficult times.
Allen joined the board of MyProject in May 2018.
Allen is married with four children and lives in Howth. Outside of working hours, he can be usually be found in one of a number of sports clubs in the area, where he is actively involved in either a coaching or playing capacity.
Maheshwari (Mahi) Arun is an Attorney at Aptiv Plc, a global technology company that develops automotive components. Mahi has over 12 years’ experience in various legal and corporate secretarial capacities for multinational companies in Singapore and Ireland. Mahi is a qualified attorney with a Masters Degree in Law from the National University of Singapore and a Diploma in Business Management from London School of Economics. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries, UK.
Mahi joined the Board of My project in August 2017. Mahi is married with two children and lives in Dun Laoghaire. Outside of working hours, Mahi is an artist and her paintings have been displayed in exhibitions in Singapore and Ireland.
Code of conduct for Charities
We are striving to meet the standards as set down in the Code of Conduct for Charities.
We aim to be fully compliant with the code in 2020 (as set down by the Charity Regulator).
We have already made considerable progress in reaching compliance and we are fully committed to constantly reviewing our progress in this aim.
We have submitted our Audited Accounts for the year ended 31/12/2017 to the CRO and the Charity Regulator. These accounts are available in the public domain. We will soon be in a position to publish our accounts on this website.
My Project is funded by Tusla and the HSE Drugs & Alcohol Programme.
We also obtain periodic grant funding for specific projects from DLRCOCO.
My Project is a registered Charity (Charity number 20040222).
We are a limited company registered in the Companies Office (Company number 202607).
In the course of our daily organisational activities, My Project acquires, processes and stores personal data in relation to:
- Employees of My Project…Minding You
- Clients of the project and their families
- Other professionals involved in the care of clients and their families
Our policy is to deal with all personal information (data) in a strictly confidential manner.
We comply with the regulations as set down by Data Protection legislation (Irish Data Protection Act (1988), the Irish Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2003 and in particular The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
My Project will ensure that all data obtained and processed is relevant for the purposes for which this data is collected.
If any client wishes to access the personal information held on our files they can do so by writing to us. These written requests will be processed as quickly and efficiently as possible, within not more than 30 days from receipt of the written request.
